Check out the Gay Robots Page Look at C3PO. He is obsessed with manners, and etiquette. His effeminate mannerisms and limp-wristed posturing speak volumes about his sexuality. R2D2 and C3PO are obviously intended to represent a stereotypical gay couple. Just look at the bickering on the planet Tattooine "No, I'm not going that way!", sounds very much like a married couple arguing, making the strongly hinting that the two robots are an item. |
Frank Oz is quite simply one of the best puppeteers ever -- he brings his characters (like Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Animal, Cookie Monster, Grover, Bert, Yoda) vibrantly to life like no one else can. He's incredibly smart, and although his mental process is highly analytical, he is able to throw that all away and perform with great abandon. It's easy to see how Frank's become such a successful director. And yes, that's Cookie Monster draped casually over his arm. |

Talk-show host ROSIE O'DONNELL spoke out about her much-publicized decision to come out of the closet -- and now her showbiz friends are coming out with their support! "Part of the reason why I've never said that I was gay until now was because I didn't want that adjective assigned to my name for all of eternity," Rosie told DIANE SAWYER in an exclusive interview. "You know, 'gay Rosie O'Donnell.' (laughs) Because it's never in the top-10 list of how I identify myself." The Emmy-winning celebrity and parent also chatted with Diane about her opposition to a Florida law banning adoption by gays and lesbians. Diane interviewed Florida couple STEVE LOFTON and ROGER CROTEAU, who may be forced to give up the 10-year-old foster child they raised from infancy. The couple's plight inspired Rosie to step forward to show the world that gays and lesbians can be good parents, she tells Diane. "There are 3,412 (children in Florida ready to be adopted) the last time I looked," said Rosie. "Most of those children have brown or black skin. Most of those children are boys. Nobody wants them. And I don't think that restricting the pool of adoptive parents is beneficial for the 500,000 children in foster care." Many of Rosie's friends in the entertainment industry have come forward to support Rosie's her decision to come out of the closet. |
"I'm not offended by dumb blonde jokes because I know that I'm not dumb. I also know I'm not blonde." "It takes a lot of money to make a person look this cheap!" "I like to buy clothes that are two sizes too small and then take them in a little." "I have little feet because nothing grows in the shade." "If you don't like the road you're walking, start paving another one." "I had to get rich so I could afford to sing like I was poor again." "I don't know if I'm supporting them, or they're supporting me." (On her ample bosom) ![]() |
Leonard Nimoy and his wife have donated $1 million to the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art. The Nimoy Fund for Emerging Artists will showcase new artistic talent and ensures stable resources to fund exhibitions and projects by emerging artists. The fund will help support a variety of projects, including painting and sculpture, artist books and publications and performance and video works. This flexibility will allow MOCA to keep pace with artists for generations to come. The large gift is the second in recent months by the Nimoys, who donated $1million to the Griffith Observatory renovation effort. When the Los Angeles landmark reopens in 2005, the 71-year-old actor will have a 200-seat theater named in his honor. Nimoy's wife, Susan, has served on the museum's Board of Trustees since 1999 and has chaired the board's development committee. |
