Get your own authentic Chimpanzee Art, painted and signed by Angel or Apollo, the chimpanzee stars of "Critter Gitters" and "So You Want To Work With Animals".

Each painting is the creative work of the chimps themselves… they pick their colors, decide where to put them, and what tools to use (paint brush or finger paint!).
Every painting comes with a photo of Angel or Apollo working on it, for authentication.
They can even arrange for you to watch the entire creation of your masterpiece and be photographed with the artists themselves!

In January 2003, HONDA'S ASIMO began to visit science museums and educational facilities throughout North America as part of the ASIMONorth American Educational Tour. The final venue of the tour was set to be the California Science Center.  More than 1,000 people gathered at the venue to make it a wonderful day.  This was the most popular event of ASIMO’s entire tour.  My parents and I along with TV personalities, as well as Disneyland robot engineers attended.  All the guests were amazed at ASIMO’s smooth bipedal walking ability, and his ability to climb and descend stairs.
The Hollywood Bowl's
New Shell and Big Screens

The 2004 Season marks the premiere of the new Hollywood Bowl shell, an event of history and acoustic significance.

The new shell, the 5th in the Bowl's history, has been designed to alleviate the acoustic challenges in previous designs. For starters, the new shell creates 30% more stage area to accommodate a full orchestra. Lighting and sound technology has also been integrated into the new design, which preserves the shell's recognizable 1920's moderne concentric-ring motif.  In addition, large screens have been added to the sides fo the Bowl's amphitheater to bring you closer to the action on stage.

The Griffith Observatory is closed to the public
for a three-year renovation

Griffith Observatory has begun a long planned and much needed revitalization. After more than 66 years of continuous use,
visits by nearly 70 million people, and no significant capital improvements, the Observatory is undergoing a major renovation. Every system and element of the Observatory will be restored to its original grandeur and also improved for the current level of public use (nearly two million visitors a year), including a state-of-the-art planetarium theater.
The Observatory will also be expanded by excavating under a portion of the frontlawn. This will double the size of the Observatory without changing the classic appearance of the building.  Plans call for a new presentation theater, two large new exhibit areas, a new on-site food service, an expanded bookstore, new elevators, and more restrooms.
The Observatory has been closed to the public since January 6, 2002. Construction began on October 30, 2002 and should be complete in mid-2005. After equipment and exhibits are installed, the Observatory will reopen in late 2005
for its 70th anniversary.
