REDEDICATION CEREMONY
MAY 28, 2005

The remaining Coos County members of the G.A.R. (Grand Army of the Republic),
veterans of the Civil War, pose in front of a monument
dedicated to Spanish-American War Veterans
The photograph was most likely taken in 1926, when Marshfield hosted
the Oregon G.A.R. Encampment.*
Following the Rededication Ceremony on May 28th, 2005, we invited
the seven oldest veterans in attendance to pose for
a similar photograph.

The flyer for the Rededication was designed using artwork originally published
in the Coos Bay Times on June 22nd, 1926.
