I want to make something to put in my fish tank

Hi,

My name is R__ and I'm looking for a way to make something to put in my fish tank... I saw some nice stuff on your web page and think maybe you can help me...please send any info you can

Engineers need more info than that to help you! Let me know exactly what you're trying to do and maybe I can steer you in the right direction.

What does this device do? Moving parts? How many? Made out of what? How big? Need finishing like paint?

Etc., etc., etc.

You have to be very careful what you put in a fish tank because the little guys are very delicate.

Hi...
I'm looking for a structure that is thin and rises from both sides of the tank walls and has a platform on top that joins the two sides over the water line...I don't know if I can explain myself but this thing can look like a tree or coral but has to be thin as to not hide the tank creatures.

I kind of get the picture. You shouldn't need anything fancy to do this, but you need to pay attention to materials. Best look on the web for aquarium sites and see what's used for similar decorations. Also, you can't impede the surface of the water because you need the exchange of oxygen and other gases to keep the animals alive and you need a certain surface area to guarantee that.

You don't need engineering - you need to look at what others have done that's similar. The public library is also a good source.

Hi:
Okay... thanks for your help, if I get any real moving ideas I'll look for your feedback again if that’s not asking too much?.. Also you kind of started me thinking on something..... but it's hard to know if any of these ideas work without some hands on tests..... and expendable fry, (fish).....
