You need a Java-capable web browser to see the applet.

... about me

This page tells you a lot about my family life and about me. So- grab a cup of coffee/tea/herbal tea/? and read a little bit about MJ-Mary Jane-who is here to tell you that, with THAT name, coming of age in the 60's was the "pits"!
Just so you know what you are getting into here,
this page is LONG! There is a lot of personal stuff at the beginning, and a LOT of useful stuff at the end!
I have some JAVA applets running,so I do hope your browser is capable of seeing them. I have also used GifWizard on some of the graphics on this page.

Please take the time to visit Jessica's page. Learn about Organ Donation and its importance. Jessica-God Bless You and keep you.

Best heard with some speakers and Crescendo!

In Las Vegas it's ALWAYS time to have fun!
I have put together a Hotel/Casino list of places away from the "Strip".
This may come in handy for travelers wanting rooms that are a bit quieter.
Check out the page. Also visit here for ALL info about
"The Silver State".
And-step into the Lounge for some nightlife!

Then, if this desert heat gets to be too much, take a cruise at Admiral Cruise Center! Say hi to Ruth and Betty!

Visit the web pages of Frank and Pat,whose works will astound you!
Visit theirWorldnet
homepage for a view of their serendipitous and scintillating lives and times!

"Goodbye England's Rose"

The world lost a lovely, caring and compassionate woman. She was also a loving mom.
Her name was Diana,Princess of Wales. There are many sites on the net paying homage to her. Some sites have set up boycotts of the tabloids because of the "papparazzi" factor. Check out The Mining Co.
site for a list of the websites for protesting the tabloids, web sites about Diana and condolence and tribute pages.
to her. One of the best is the People magazine page.
Go there for links to many other sites for information on Diana, the Royal Family and other current events.
It has been over four years, but the grief is still fresh.
If any of these links are "dead", then please check the archives of the listed publications.

I like to use my computer for many things:shopping,
research, learning and travel.
My first home page effort is at Geocities
My second attempt was at Angelfire. Alas,it is gone!
I progressed from there to my February
calendar at Geocities.

I also like doing "pages on the fly" to
celebrate good fortunes and wonderful people
I have had the pleasure to meet and chat with.
My "Gurus" page and my
"Irc Gurus" page are examples of this sort
of thing. Dorothy,our "novice" HTMLer,
had shown me how easy this is to do! I am progressing-albeit slowly- with learning HTML. Been at it four years-still slow!
My newest task is to learn to work with my digital camera and do wonders with my photos. Check out The Paint Shop Pro
home page for a great image creating program-which I WILL learn-sooner or later!

...
My family

consists of one Awesome Husband,Richard,
and one Adventurous Daughter,
Alicia,a graduate of
The Las Vegas Academy of International Studies,
Performing and Visual Arts.

She turned 21 on April 7th.
On October 1st,1997,the 6 of us and my dad,Pete, moved into a new 4 bedroom home! My dad is a "young" 76 years old,a veteran of WWII,and a former POW in Germany.
He also was awarded a Purple Heart. He is a member of,or an officer in,one of the many Veteran groups-DAV,Convo,American Legion-as well as a 4th Degree Knight.
We are thrilled that he decided to live with us! We just aren't too sure about keeping pace with him!

For those of you who "know" me thru Worldnet, you know I also had a step-daughter,Carolyn.
I regret that I never got the chance to know this lovely young woman.
Neither did her dad. Divorce is painful. It is what
kept Richard from getting to know Carolyn
as a young woman.
Her boyfriend,John Despirito,
has put up a loving and lovely tribute on
Saint Joseph's College Web server

We also had a Rotweiller named Max,now in "doggie heaven,
and two cats:Missy(a big lug), and Sassy(whose name says it all)!

... my work

I was a cage cashier at a small "local's" casino in North Las Vegas for almost 10 years. Now I work for a large pharmaceutical company as a Customer Service Representative.
I was diagnosed with Lymphoma on 4/13/2000, so I also use my computer for the latest news on the disease.
Richard is a graveyard bartender at the The Bighorn .
For his hard work he was awarded "Employee of the Month" for December1997!
The award consists of $50.00 and a Bighorn Jacket. He will be there 12 years on 9/29/2001. Time flies!
After all these years he has developed quite a following. His jokes and sense of humor keep 'em coming back for more!

... my interests

It goes without saying that my
biggest interest,next to my family,
is my computer,and computing
in general. I don't mind getting
"under the covers" to see what and how things work!
My latest "toy" is a Compaq Presario 1220.
Now I have 2 'puters to call on my gurus for help!

I also enjoy reading a variety of authors, such as Stuart Woods,Patricia Cornwall,
Diane Mott Davidson,Faye Kellerman, Jonathan Kellerman, Sidney Sheldon and Lisa Scottoline (a close-to-my-hometown author).

I used to enjoy chatting on the phone and on IRC but now the joy of the phone is gone
spending 10 hours a day on one takes the joy away!
I am a "proud member" of the Worldnet ISP community! I have made many friends here
that would never be found had I not
discovered AT&T Worldnet in June of 1996!

The Worldnet WOWs are a wonderful group of women. They do many things for the BOARs that they sometimes regret!Check out the WOW homepage at

The BOARS have put up a "Tips and Tricks"page entitled
"BOARS Don't Read Manuals"! Check it out if you enjoy tinkering
and tweaking your computer! I do not intend to remove this link.

The Las Vegas Computer Journal is a GREAT source of information,
whether you live here or not! They also offer you a chance to win a 3 month subscription to the Journal,an option to list your Web page in their Web Page publication both in print and online,FREE home pages for Nevada schools,
and the list goes on! You've got to see this magazine!

... my dislikes

I guess one of my dislikes is
"phony" people. You know the type-
they know everything and you don't
know anything at all. Well-here on Worldnet
people like Allan,Ed,Ray,Priti,Lou,Trif,Milton,
Nagib,Dale,Husein,Ron,Dorothy,Dennis,Karen,
Janice,Penn,Sharon,LJ,Anne,Marty,Enot,Uncle Dale, and...
so many others!-yeah-all those people
that you come in contact with on a daily basis
(if you want to!) KNOW what they are
talking about-and-if they don't-
they'll send you to someone who does!

... whatever else

So-enjoy Worldnet,these Web pages,
the Newsgroups and (A MUST SEE) Members Forum here.
Take the time to explore what is
around-check out all of the pages.
Visit us and stay awhile with the #1 ISP.
Enjoy yourself and..come away from here
more experienced and wiser!

I know that this page mainly interests me. Sometimes, though,a line in the guestbook lets me know SOMEONE besides me stops by once in a while!
If anyone has any suggestions to make this page just a little more interesting, let me know. Though,my guess is no one ever reads down this far on my page!
