THE STONE BARN
22 X 30, Watercolor
Janet has had a lifelong interest in the arts and has painted since childhood. She finds watercolor a fascinating, ever changing and challenging medium. Some of her favorite subjects are florals, landscapes, old houses and barns. Figures and wildlife are two new interests inspired by recent travels to the South West and Canada. Janet strives to share her excitement in developing each new subject and convey a sense of mood and a quality of light to the viewer. Always active in the art community, Janet has taught watercolor classes and workshops, exhibited widely, had one-woman shows, and won numerous awards. Throughout the years she has studied with a number of nationally acclaimed artists. Among them were John Pike, Edward J. Fitzgerald, Claude Croney, Tom Lynch and Al Stein. |
