The carpenter apprenticeship program is located at Renton Technical College (RTC), 3000 NE 4th Street, Building L. Telephone: (425) 235-2465. Fax: (425) 235-7831

1. Pick up apprenticeship application at a carpenters local.  Fill out the application and drop it off at the apprenticeship program located at RTC, Building L.  The apprenticeship office will date and time when the application is received.  The application will be filed into the Application Pre-Hire List.
   
2. Applicants will be contacted by phone for a scheduled 6 hour Pre-Hire/Physical Agility class on date and time application was received.  Failure to attend the scheduled Pre-Hire class when notified may result in cancellation of application.
   
3. After completing the 6 hour Pre-Hire/Physical class, applicants will be placed on an interview list based on the date and time the application was received.  Applicants who do not successfully demonstrate their physical agility during the 6 hour Pre-Hire may be referred to a third party for further evaluation.
   
4. After successfully completing the interview, applicant will be placed on the Applicant Eligibility List based on their ranked score from the interview.
   
5. Applicants are registered based on highest ranked score and county availabilty.
