Code of Ethics

The following Code of Ethics shall guide the behavior of all Club members in all matters pertaining to selling or swapping of cottages:

1. No member shall join the Club or function as a member primarily to advance his or her business profits.

2. No use of the Club's name or membership lists shall be used to promote sales of Department 56 houses or their related accessories.

3. No membership list of the club shall be sold or given to anyone for the purpose of solicitation.

4. Members who choose to swap, trade, or sell village houses or accessories to other members shall do everything in their power to assure one another that the village house or accessory is fairly priced, free from defect, unbroken, and unmended; unless the receiving member is expressly made aware of the defect, and that all items are authentic Department 56 pieces.

I agree to support the objectives and abide by the Code of Ethics of the Capital Region 56er's of Upstate New York. I further understand that no liability is assumed by the Club, its Officers and Executive Board members for any injuries sustained by me, or members of my family while attending any Club sponsored function. I also understand that the Club, its Officers and Executive Board members assume no responsibility for any damage to any item (s) I may choose to bring to any Club meeting or Club sponsored event.
