The Busy North Pole by Laura Knightes

The clocks have been turned back, the days are getting shorter and there is a cold wind blowing from the North with some snowy white flakes at times and the month of November is on our calendar, all signaling that the Holiday Season is fast approaching.

Those who assemble their villages from scratch each year are busy with plans and new ideas for any changes they have come up with, and shopping for supplies to start construction.

Now those of us who leave their displays up in cabinets or on shelves are changing some things, adding many, many things and rearranging to make room.

And being frustrated by lights, wires and adapters, adapters and more adapters.

It would help to have one universal adapter. But in spite of all the work, we take time to admire the beauty and special details that go into our prized pieces.

Things have been really busy way up at the North Pole. There have been so many additions this year. Dancer and Prancer and the other members of Santa’s reindeer team weren’t sure about the addition of Toots Train coming into the Pole. Dancer observed that as long as the elves only use it to bring toys to the Pole and not interfere with the Reindeer Sleigh Delivery, it would be agreeable.

Santa’s Sleigh Launch is a much liked by some and not too cared for by others. We happen to like it and have worked it into a nice display. One thing is for sure; it will get Santa off to a fast start, which will make Rudolf very happy.

The Egg Nog Pub is a very nice addition to Elf Land, one of the nicest pieces we have seen. Take notice of the milk cans used as part of the railing. The many flowers of the Egg Nog Pub will be a real treat for the elves. Also new to Elf Land is a new beauty parlor for the lady elves. This is a very attractive piece and a nice addition to Elf Land. This piece is an Avon exclusive, so if anyone is interested in obtaining this piece, contact your Avon Lady.

The North Pole village has another nice piece, the Caribou Café that will serve up some good robust cups of coffee to help keep those hard working elves going while working far into the night. Anyone who would like to join them in a cup of brew can order the coffee delivered to their homes by calling 1-888-227-4268 or online at www.Cariboucoffee.com. Enjoy!

Last, but not least, we have the Lego Creation Station, which is drawing a great deal of attention. This is a piece that you can have a lot of fun with now and in the future especially if you or anyone in your family is handy building with Legos. If not at first, this piece will make a great display by itself

We will leave the North Pole for now and we will cover more of the new pieces and comment on some of the retired pieces next time.

Enjoy this beautiful village.

God Bless,

Santa’s Elf
