HOW CAN I HELP?
We still need volunteers to help run the overall tournament, coordinate the tournament sites, coordinate player refreshments,  and many more important activites.  Though every single activity related to producing CC7 is important, it is essential that certain position are filled immediately to ensure the successful production of Capital Classic 7.  These activites are marked Essential.

To volunteer for a particular position, simply click its name:

SITE DIRECTORS  Position OPEN Essential
The site directors will oversee the smooth operation of the tournament sites in conjunction with the Tournament Director and/or Co-Directors.  This includes maintaining the schedule of play for both regular and consolation draws, updating master tournament draw sheets, fulfilling requests for line judges, and enforcing the GLTA, USTA and CC7 rules of play.

REFRESHMENTS/TENNIS BALLS DIRECTOR  Position OPEN
The Refreshments/Tennis Balls Director will coordinate the purchase and distribution of water, fruit and tennis balls to the tournament sites.

FUNDRAISING DIRECTOR - Anthony Aoude Essential
The fundraising function consists of soliciting sponsorship from previous Capital Classic sponsors, seeking out new sponsors, corresponding with previous and new sponsors, securing advertisement copy and graphics for the CC7 Program from sponsors and collecting sponsorship monies and/or raffle donations.  The fundraising function will also insure that CC7 complies with the GLTA sponsorhip agreements with AVIS, American Airlines and the Advocate.

ENTRY DIRECTOR -  Andrew Dan
The entry director is repsonsible for receiving all CC7 player applications.  The entry directors maintains the CC7 player database, collects application fees and forwards them to the CTA treasurer for deposit and sends confirmation letters to all CC7 players.

PROGRAM DIRECTOR - Bill Sawicki
The Program Director will coordinate the publicaiton of the CC7 Program, which includes receiving sponsorhip adverts and logos.

HOUSING DIRECTOR - Jim Toepper
The Housing Director solicits hosts from the CTA Membership.  The Housing Director reviews all requests for hosted housing and matches requestors with hosts, based upon availability and compatability.

TROPHIES DIRECTOR - Brent Bierman
The Trophies Director will coordinate the design, purchase and distribution of the CC7 trophies.

BANQUET DIRECTOR - Tim Ball
The Banquet Director oversees and implements all details related to the Capital Classic 7 banquet, from site and menu selection to entertainment and centerpieces.

STUFFING AND DRAW PARTIES DIRECTOR - Dodd Denton
This Director will organize materials to stuff player welcome packets and oversee the implementation of the CC7 Draw Party at which CC7 players can meet housing hosts, doubles partners and friends while reviewing the Capital Classic 7 schedule of play and division draws.

We can use all the help we can get to complete all of the finishing touches.  The CC7 Committee will meet at the end of April and several times throughout the summer to coordinate the tournament - EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
