Here
is our traditional pre season shake down event, returing to its old
format of drill based activities. Its a great time to shake
out the winter's rust, get the kits in order, and sharpen our drill for
the season!

Great Road (Rt. 123), at the intersection of Breakneck Hill Road
Lincoln, Rhode Island

From the South (Providence)
* Take Route 95 North to Route 146
(Lincoln)
* Travel north on Rt. 146 into Lincoln
(approximately 6 miles)
* After passing Lincoln Woods exit, take
the Breakneck Hill Road, CCRI, Rt. 123 exit.
* Bear right off exit onto Rt. 123
(Breakneck Hill Road).
* Travel 1 mile down Breakneck Hill
Road, past The Lodge Restaurant.
* Just as Breakneck Hill Road levels
off, at the intersection of Great Road, there will be a farm with twin
silos on your left (lit up at night with an American flag between them).
* Immediately after the silos is
Hearthside. Park in the driveway to the house or during events proceed
past Hearthside to the parking lot at the Hannaway Blacksmith Shop
(look for the purple sign on your left). Travel time from downtown
Providence is approximately 15 minutes.
From Points North (Boston/Woonsocket)
* Take Route 495 toward Cape Cod and
exit at 95 South in Mansfield.
* Take Route 95 South to Attleboro,
Massachusetts.
* Take Route 295 South Exit (Woonsocket,
RI-Warwick, RI)
* Follow Route 295 to the Exit 9A Rt.
146 South (Lincoln) (approximately 10 minutes on 295).
* Get onto Rt. 146 South. On the exit
ramp, stay in left lane (right lane forces you onto Rt. 116 South). Be
very careful….cars merge in from entrance ramps without
stopping most times.
* Follow Rt. 146 South to the Breakneck
Hill Road/Community College of RI Exit (Route 123) (approximately 4
minutes from Rt. 295 ramp).
* Turn left on Rt 123 East, (Breakneck
Hill Road) and travel one mile down Breakneck Hill Road, past "The
Lodge" restaurant.
* At the bottom of the hill, Breakneck
Hill Road become Great Road. At this intersection, there will be a farm
with twin silos on your left (lit up at night with an American flag
between them).
* Immediately after the silos is
Hearthside. Park in the driveway to the house, or during events proceed
past Hearthside to the parking lot (look for the purple sign on your
left) at the Hannaway Blacksmith Shop. Travel time from the Boston area
is approximately 50 minutes.

the East (Attleboro Area):
* Take Route 123 West into Lincoln, to
the intersection of Lonsdale Avenue. Christ Church is on the left.
* Continue straight at this traffic
light on Rt. 123 West; you will pass through 2 more sets of traffic
lights after the one at Lonsdale Avenue.
* After the third light, you will see a
sign for Gateway Park on the right. This is now Great Road. Travel
straight, past Lincoln Woods, approximately ¾ mile to
Hearthside.
* A purple colored “Great Road
Historic District” sign is on your right in front of the
Hannaway Blacksmith Shop. Turn right into the parking lot of the
Blacksmith Shop for event parking, or proceed further to the driveway
of Hearthside. Travel time from Attleboro is 20 minutes.
From the West (Scituate Area):
* Take Rt. 295 to Rt. 146 South to
Lincoln.
* Take the Rt. 146 South exit. On the
access road, stay in left lane (right lane forces you onto Rt. 116
South). Be very careful….cars merge in from entrance ramps
without stopping most times.
* Follow Rt. 146 South to the Breakneck
Hill Road/Community College of RI Exit (Route 123) (approximately 4
minutes from Rt. 295 ramp).
* Turn left on Rt 123 East, (Breakneck
