Information
Canisolida Mastiffs Foster and Retirement Home, Inc. was officially incorporated as a non-profit organization
in the state of Ohio on November the 30th, 2006. Our federal nonprofit status [501 (c) (3)] was approved on September
27th, 2007. We exist to assist/aid/help mastiffs in danger and in need. Special emphasis is on the English Mastiff,
however, mastiff mixes, and other breeds and sizes of dogs may become a part of our program. Currently, we are
a very small rescue with just a few foster homes, all of which are active and usually full. Our two current primary
activities are to support the volunteer homes in our program with adoptable foster dogs, forever foster dogs, and/or
retired dogs and to engage/assist in new cases brought to our attention. We are very willing to help out other
rescue groups. We have a very ambitious future goal: to build a home-like shelter for mastiffs and other giant
breeds. As we gain momentum, we plan for a variety of fundraising activities to meet this end.
