You are gone, but not forgotten.

You affected many lives in the time you were here, and still do while you are gone. You are terribly missed and loved. While those that still are here have comforts of soft beds and comforters and gentle hands to pet them, you have the soft comforts of our hearts and many thoughts of how you are cherished. May you rest peacefully forever.

George

Seven years ago we adopted a wonderful mastiff/boxer mix named George that Lois Cantrell was fostering in Dayton. He was the most amazing dog I have ever ever met. We lost him on Saturday...I know we will heal, in time. He was just so amazingly tolerant of the kids wallowing him and so friendly with other dogs and new people as we drug him from campground to campground, we'll never have another like him. He learned to trust men while he was ours, but ever protective of the kids and I, he would push my husband away if he tried to tickle, wrestle with or tease us. Attached is the last picture we took of him. Taken just last week, our son had fallen asleep on George, again.

Sierra

Sierra QUICKLY became a BIG beloved member of our family and people would come visit just to see my lovable pup and give her hugs and kisses. Sadly, Sierra passed away over the winter and left an enormous hole in our hearts...I've never been so heartbroken! She was the BEST dog anyone could ask for (I'm sure everyone says that) and loved each of us unconditionally and I know there will never be another dog to take her place. Thank you again for giving me the opportunity to welcome her into my life, and giving me the fantastic years I got to spend with her while she was here!! I'm forever grateful, really. What you do is wonderful and you gave me a best friend who was by my side for years.
