Dogwood Mastiff Retreat Thank you for stopping by and viewing our mastiff rescue site. Dogwood Mastiff Retreat is a small homebased rescue dedicated to mastiffs and other large dogs in need. All of our activites are dedicated to CRICKET, a special and beautiful young mastiff that came into our loving care when she was in need. Cricket was very ill and her life was unfortunately cut short by kidney failure. Cricket could not tell us exactly what happened to her as a puppy, but her scars were a physical reminder of what horrors she must have endured. Please visit Cricket's Memorial Page. Our devotion to Cricket is what motivates us in further helping other mastiffs and large breed dogs when we are able. We work in close association with Canisolida Mastiffs Foster and Retirement Home, Inc. (www.canisolida.org). We will provide links to our adoptable dogs here at this site and hope to develop more content for our site as more experiences are fulfilled.
