Organization Information:

Canisolida Mastiffs Foster and Retirement Home, Inc. is a non-profit [501 (c) (3)] organization in the state of Ohio. We exist to assist/aid/help mastiffs in danger and in need. Special emphasis is on the English Mastiff, however, mastiff mixes, and other breeds and sizes of dogs may become a part of our program. We are a small rescue with a few foster homes, all of which are active and usually full. We act to support the volunteer homes in our program with adoptable foster dogs, forever foster dogs, and/or retired dogs and to engage/assist in new cases brought to our attention. We are very willing to help out other rescue groups. We carry out ongoing fundraising so that we can continue to help the dogs. CLICK HERE to read about our basic rescue procedures.

Available Dogs - More detail...

1. Zoe Born on August 5th, 2009, Zoe is a gleamingly beautiful mastiff/shepherd mix puppy who is fully up to date on her vet care for her age (meaning she has yet to undergo her spay when she attains the proper age). Zoe's coat is a gorgeous fawn color, she has a sweetly blackened mask, and her ears are mostly perked in an upright position. She is just darling and is very sweet, giving love and kisses to you when you snuggle with her. Read more about Zoe and see a lot of wonderful pictures of her at this link!

2. Bella ADOPTION PENDING! Bella is a 10 month old female cane corso pup. She is black and tan, up to date on all vet care except spay. Owners, due to job loss, losing home and must relocate, dog not accepted where they are going....click here to read Bella's full biography.

3. Jada Jada is an English Mastiff that is fawn colored with black mask and feet. She is spayed and is approximately 3 years old. She is a very good girl, well behaved in the house. Has not chewed on anything except her assigned toys. She loves feeding times of course, and loves her walks outside getting exercise, and also after she warms up to you, she loves to snuggle on the couch. Jada came to Cansolida Mastiffs from a shelter and her history...read more about Jada here.

4. Abby ADOPTION PENDING Abby is a 5 year old Old English Mastiff. She is spayed and up to date on vet care. Read more about Abby here.

5. The Group Home Dogs - The dogs living here are of many breeds (mastiff, mixes), sizes, needs, and ages. Some of them are highly adoptable while others may have behavioral or medical needs that make them less able to find an adoptable home. Regardless, they are all welcomed and loved....click here to access more information about the group home dogs.

6.Gabby &Brother - Gabby and Brother are 10 month old Saint Bernard siblings. Both are altered and are completely up to date on all vet care. End of Page Tidbits...

Titan is "caught" planting a wonderful kiss right on Dianne's face. And look how he presents her with his paw. Titan was an absolute jewel and we miss him so much!!!!!!

Atti squares off with a playful cattle dog on the pretzel tug game. The cattle dog won :)

There is nothing like the affection of a mastiff for his child....

...or for that matter any dog's love for his child!
