I'm looking for an enlightened friend
is that too much to ask?
I'm looking for an honest friend
it too great a task?
I'm looking for an true friend
one who won't lie to me
one who does not try to pretend
one who will just be
are you out there?
do you see?
I'm right here...
just me
because the light goes by so fast
so brief our shadow's cast
I want to make it last
this moment that just past
.
were you my friend?
what did we share?
what did you send?
how did we care?
how would I know?
what did we do?
how would I know?
what is true?
if you don't tell me...
what makes it real?
sharing is the key
you have these words
my last request
a moment's time
just share your best
that's all you are
and when we smile
a moment seems
to last a while
but it's just an illusion
we create when we see
through all the confusion
sharing is the key
let this be the first moment
your light touches mine
as you breath your next breath
as you're reading this line
I give you these words
you give my your eyes
and I can see you
if we realize
we shared this moment
I write, you see
two different moments
for you and me
and maybe many
who knows what will be
all I know is this moment

whatever that means

somewhere in betweens
between eyes, between ears, between us what's real
is the heart beat that we hear
when we dare show we care we can feel
what is real is what we share
in a moment we can see
hear this simple poetry
whatever was or will be

we can create harmony
with out heart beat's melody
