you gotta deal with it
don't get me wrong..."

I wonder if I'll have something to say about worklife every day
once I actually start working J
well, today went ok... a preliminary interview for the executive director position went well... hopefully I'll get a call back to the selection committee phase (these executive type jobs usually have three and sometimes more interviews before a decision is made)... in the best case scenario it'll be a February start and quite possibly could be a March or later start if the Board of Directors that has final approval take their time with the process... six figure jobs are like that...
so I must take something in the interim and the second interview for a staffing coordinator went well as well, though the pay is less than a third of the first one so it was a challenge to be enthused... still, it has prospects and made a call back to express interest if some salary conditions could be met (yeah I know, who am I to be negotiating at this late stage of the perils of poor ric, huh?) J
everyday, ya know?... the choice is laugh, cry, live, die...
I'll keep reaching for the laughter and life...
just gotta deal with it...
I do have dozens of resumes out there for positions that I am actually qualified for and a few hundred for other positions (some BS MLM scams in disguise {but I wouldn't be sure until I spoke to someone so I send the resume anyway} and some that I could do but don't quite have the paper credentials {so I would need to know somebody or just have to get lucky to get an interview in which I could prove myself} and a few pie in the sky shots in the dark... patience (eeeek)...
it's really not that I like to live dangerously (much)... seriously, I don't think I'm still in the self-defeating mode I was in back in 1998 when I didn't care what I did or what happened to me and only cared about the five kids and dog... the more interviews I go out on, the more confidence builds up... it's really that I don't wish to settle for way less than I'm worth if I can help it... so I ask (in a pro-active poker-faced professional negotiating way, of course) J
tomorrow is another interview...
IT'S THE GREAT JOB FOR THE NEW MILLENIUM HUNT!
WANNA HELP? check out and pass around my RESUME
and you are very welcome and encouraged to offer
JOB LEAD HELP or even... FRIENDSHIP J
