time for another update... and it's still the same (song cue)... another few steps closer to the light, another few rung higher on the ladder of healing the heart... and still having more fun than anyone has the right to according to the rules for adulthood I keep running into... hey, what can I say, it's just not my hood (from rap culture to West Side Story to Mr Rogers to little red, the references ramble around... I still don't seem to have any neighbors)... and life, well, that's still as depressing as ever according to the rules (luckily I don't play by most of them)...
in reality (whatever we might make of it) life is a lonely place these days as I focus on working my way out of the deep maze I've created for myself... I work a lot... it leaves no time for finding a new social life (even if I knew where to look around here... somebody call me) and no old social life here, being in a city where I have no prior contacts, no friends to squeeze in a few moments quality sharing time with... alas... and then the the big black hole in my heart left by the absense of family is no fun (one of the roots of the story of my life... all I've ever wanted was the one {song cue} who'd share everything including creating family in a truly balanced relationship)... and they called it puppy love... ok, so maybe I'm a dreamer... am I the only one?... seems lyrical references are all over the place... so anyway...
if you choose to reach out to meet and get to know me right now (I won't bite, even when I grumble or growl... well, I don't usually bite, that is... unless you want me to, but then, I don't mean any harm, just aiming to please... mind if I giggle?), you're actually meeting me at the lowest point (oh, the shame if it... heavens to mergatroid... at least there's still some sense of humors) I've experienced in this life so far (wouldn't it be nice {song cue} if this is as low as it goes for this lifetime... and if you want to know more details than are on my "Keep In Touch" pages you can ask and I'll share what I can as I digest and resolve the current experience on as serious a level as you want and can stand, k?)...
I see the parenthetic tangents and multple abstract references are returning to my rambles... hope it adds more flavour and pleasure than confusion for you... in my spare time I am still a professional silver lining finder and I just flat out refuse to stay or be kept down for long (a few hours of self-pity depression kinda stuff and I'm bored out of my mind... bored?.. who me?... I guess I'm lucky and have some sort of anti-give-up gene or something)...
so seriously (yes, I said seriouly... will you take me seriously?)... how do I encourage anybody (how about you?... yes you... would you please click here?) reading this who wants to go to a movie or anywhere with me (and is close enough to Buffalo, NY... or is wealthy enough to fly over at their leisure :} to actually reach out and say hi and start the getting to know you (song cue) process and actually get together to do something fun and/or rewarding or both?...

com'on, I'll be yer best friend... there's no sense sitting there reading all the time... and while I love to write, I am alive to share and sharing takes at least two... somebody out there must be bored or lonely or just open to meeting a new friend... I love films and there are probably lots of other good films out there (I know I wanna see You've Got Mail (Meg and Tom are two of my favorites... among lots of others) and there are a zillion videos (oh I miss... so much) I want to catch up on that we missed and some we want to see again and... wanna share a movie? J
or how about music?... I love music... anybody know where to hear good music in this Buffalo area?... preferably someplace casual, comfortable, and coool... and I love exploring parks and experiencing libraries and museums and playing sports (anybody know of a softball league around here?... or touch football... tennis, anyone?... do you bowl?... I absolutely love to play pool, where?... tell me?... somebody answer me {will it help if I stomp my feet? LAM}... I'm open to suggestion) and games (cards, board, trivia, and most anything) and doing just about anything with friends (it's not what we do, it's with whom we do it)... heck, I even like to shop... and there's basic everyday stuff we all do that can be so boring and more fun if we share it... ummmm, you know, like laundry (oh, what were you thinking of? ;) ... you can choose the activity...

I like doing things by myself, but doing stuff is more often fun with others... I'm tired of eating every meal alone, wanna share a meal somewhere? (I promise, no food fights until we know each other better... that's attempted humour, unless of course you like to play with your food ;)

I started a mailing list, it started the whole world laughing (song cue)... actually, lots of mailing lists... new ones for kids and teens have joined the other mailing lists for people who enjoy email writing and receiving emails... I'd join if I was a kid... hey wait, I am a kid LAM... ok, but the news lists are for littler kids and teenagers... if you know any kids or teens who might enjoy meeting others their age through email, let me know or check out the new Mailing Lists Page and let them know... and if you like to meet people via email, let me know... I know of lots of lists on virtually any subject you can think of... more lists are added all the time and I hope to find more time for sharing words as the year progresses...
so whatcha doing?... gonna respond?... my life has been a tapestry (song cue), come weave with me... ultimately I'm doing my best to focus on the positivity I can create and attract along the way as I re-construct a new life (wanna buy me a new life? {song cue and joke... it can't be bought, after all}...
