A Journal of Sorts

the curse you invoke upon yourself
when you close your mind
and pretend you're still in control
still in your duck blind

but no one can get through to you
when you live deep in denial
as you tell yourself you're alright
as you put the world on trial

the online paranoia continues to infect everything it touches... the good news is I don't feel it has power over me directly anymore, but those groups I moderate and am part of is effected by it and that's what the past couple of days were about... simple misunderstandings become suspicious circumstances and then, with assumptions and prejudice, evil... the scary thing is people are vulnerable enough to fall for the paranoid control freaks who won't allow truth to be explored because they might have to face their fears are delusions in their minds...

  different online names, same behaviours...

I guess those who are already scared or insecure can feel safer and more in control of a life online and that's why so many seem to appear in online support groups... if they really wanted help the'd seek it in the real world... online is like practice - you can be anything - say anything - and dissolve your character in an instant if you wanted to change your mind and persona...

may the force be with y'all
