THERE'S ALWAYS HOPE... (I HOPE...)

it's such a bittersweet time
when you know the show is over
and you want it to go on
but you know it's not to be

so I find solace in rhyme
a transition under clover
as the old one becomes gone
and the new one's yet to be

it's a solitary life
unless you're on a team
and since I want to share
it's like a dream

it's a melancholy moment
when it's time to say farewell
still so many things to do
and so much more to tell

it can be a lonely time
for all eternity
so much I want to share
so much I want to see

it's a solitary life
unless you're on a team
and since I want to share
it's like a dream

and will you understand
as we all walk away
that nothing can be planned
we only have today
and whatever you hold on to
it's never gonna stay
for life is just a moment
and then it fades away

life is just a moment
  and then it fades away...

it's a most exciting time
when you know the show is closing
and you want it to go on
but you know there's so much more

and it may feel like a crime
but beyond all the supposing
life is here and then it's gone
so just walk on through the door

its a time you face your fears
and reassess your dreams
and make sense of your years
it's only as it seems

what is success or failure
you decide what it means
is life living or dying
you decide what it means

and will you understand
as we all walk away
that nothing can be planned
we only have today
and whatever you hold on to
it's never gonna stay
for life is just a moment
and then it fades away

life is just a moment
  and then it fades away...

it's a most enlightening moment
when it's time to journey farther
into the vastness of unknowns
into what is yet to be

it can be a lonely time
if you're really into sharing
so until the next show begins
I'll find comfort in me

and will you understand
as we walk away
that nothing can be planned
we only have today
whatever you hold on to
it's never gonna stay
for life is just a moment
and then it fades away

so live life for this moment
and not for yesterday
