Classroom News

We have lots of exciting and educational activities going on in our classroom.  At the end of October we participated in Pumpkin Capers by making predictions, measuring pumpkins, graphing their attributes, and analyzing data. We also enjoy reading and learning in cooperative learning teams.

It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it! After making predictions, we gutted the pumpkins and counted the seeds.

Yuck! Before you can count the seeds, you have to separate them from the goo.

Cooperative learning is important in our class. We spend time working together to learn new ideas.

What's really in a newspaper? Turns out there's lots of cool stuff. We've been studying newspapers and soon will begin writing current event reports.

Mrs. Candler loves to read aloud to us!

We also like reading together in Literature Circles. This group was reading Ella Enchanted.
