This was my link in tying it all together, as here I found Jacob was Ephraim's father,
as well as finding his birth date.
Ephraim Treadwell and family in Ct., and their sailing on the spring fleet in 1783 to St. John, NB,
as told by his wife. Again this was an important find in being able to tie it all together, and this
was found in the Orlando Public Library.

A paragraph on Ephraim and family sailing to St. John, NB. It also mentions a George Sweet
who settled in Carleton where Jane Sweet is from and also an Ephraim De Forest..One
of Ephraim's sons married a De Forest in abt 1860..It appears the Loyalists really stuck together..
This is an area I am working on trying to tie all the families together..In fact I have the
help of a Bob Sweet from Fredericton who is doing the same thing..(via the computer)

hardships of being a Loyalist in Connecticut.

enlightening as to the history of our ancestors.

In Addition the US Census for 1860, 1870, 1880, 1900, 1910 and 1920. Some Birth certficates,
social security records, obits and family groups sheets that each family returned..The
TREADWELL family bible, which was kept by George E. Treadwell.
The Barbour collection of tapes and books. This is a collection of all the early vital statistics
in Connecticut from the early 1600's to abt 1860. A copy of which is in the Orlando Public
Library.
We also spent considerable time researching city directories etc. at the New England Genealogical
and Historical Society Library in Boston..Another Library we spent time at was the Connecticut
State Library in Hartford. We spent one week in the LDS FHC Library in Salt Lake. as well as
using the two centers here around Orlando. We have an excellent Genealogical section to our
Orlando Public Library and they have helped in getting books for us on a loaner basis to further
our research.
