Animal Clinic in Orange Survives Rita
Animals at the Foskey Veternary Clinic in Orange survived the high winds
and rain that damaged many parts of Southeast Texas.
Dr. Foskey says his shelter took in more than 150 animals from residents
evacuating to the north days before Rita made landfall. He says he
stayed with the animals in the clinic the entire time, and despite the
roof being blown off, all the animals suvived and are doing fine. Foskey
Veternary Clinic in Orange sheltered about 150 animals during the storm.
Water has been restored to the clinic. A boil water notice is in effect
for all parts of Southeast Texas until further notice.
Dr. Foskey wants to encourage those who admitted thier pets to the
clinic to pick up their animals as soon as possible.

The Houston SPCA is lending a hand to help recover animals in Rita
affected areas.
KFDM news has learned the HSPCA will conduct rescues in Chambers.
Jefferson, Liberty, Orange, Hardin and Newton County.
