Kamathi redeems himself!
Charles Kamathi was sick at the Kenyan trials and fought bravely to finish 13th. The Kenyan selectors still named him to the Kenyan team for Portugal. But Charles wanted to make sure that the selectors would have no reason to change their minds, so he boarded a plane for Italy to take on 5 time World Cross Country Chanpion Paul Tergat for a third time this year. The outcome was a third victory for Kamathi over Tergat. Surely now Kamathi will be a favoutite for the World Cross and of course the 31st Annual Ras na hEireann. Maybe Paul Tergat might need another chance at Kamathi after the World Cross and take the trip to dunleer!
