Long term care (LTC) is generally made up of:

• Nursing facilities, that provide medical care and is covered by Medicaid & Medicare.

• Assisted living, that provide assistance with basic care needs and is covered by State/County Special Assistance.  Sometimes referred to as rest home or domiciliary care. The current income limit for Special Assistance is $1,148 per month.

• Community Alternatives Program (CAP), that provides both care needs and medical care in individual's home and is covered by Medicaid
