Residents have the right [42 U.S.C. §1396r(c)(2)(A)] to remain in
the nursing facility unless:

transfer/discharge is needed to meet the
resident’s needs and facility cannot meet these needs;
-
the resident’s condition has improved
and no longer requires facility treatment;
-
the safety of the resident or others is
endangered;
-
the resident failed to pay, after
reasonable notice; or
-
where the facility closes.
