Children's CAP

CAP for Children (CAP/C) is a statewide program which provides an alternative to nursing facility and hospital care for individuals:

  • Up to age 19 (through age 18),
  • Who live in a private residence,
  • Who have complex medical needs, and
  • Who have been ruled disabled by Disability Determination Services (DDS).

The CAP Unit of DMA determines whether an individual may participate.

The program may serve up to 200 individuals statewide during the waiver year.

NOTE: The "waiver year" varies, depending upon the start-up date of the waiver.
