An erotic suspense-thriller about a beautiful coed, KRISTI DUART, who has just moved to
the beach with two of her lifelong friends for work and play during the summer and become
the target of an obsessed unknown stalker who watches their every move.
Before she has even moved in, Kristi
is greeted with her first parking ticket from a handsome motor officer, TOM ROMANSKI.
Kristi suggestively invites Tom to a party, and then with help from her scantly clad
friends, PARKE DAVIS and SAGE HAYS, weasels her way out of the infraction only to be
re-issued the citation by a perpetual bitchy LADY COP supervisor of Tom's.
SANDY, another roommate whose window
striptease becomes a community staple, and who was brought along to help pay the rent
skates to the fitness club to look for work. After Kristi looses the plea-bargaining with
the Lady Cop and briefly speaks with her grease-ball landlord, WENDELL, she reports to
work. It's the same job she takes every year, as a waitress for the Playa Cafe on the
strand.
Tom stops off for an afternoon sex
session with his girlfriend and then leaves. At work Kristi sees an old friend, BUFORD. He
busses tables and makes deliveries for the cafe, and basically acts as a guardian angel of
the girls', a protector and sentry. SEAN, Sage's off-and-on again boyfriend appears much
to her dismay. Parke puts the moves on a drifter named, JASON. Someone kills Tom's
girlfriend unbeknownst to anyone until the next day!
Later at the party the girls have
decided to keep things interesting by making a game of getting laid for points. A WATCHER
has appeared just outside in addition to Wendell who is always peering through his
telescope at the house. Kristi works on Tom, Parke and Jason make love and Sage almost
gets raped before she is saved by Buford.
Sean finds out about the attempted
rape and runs from the police threatening to kill someone. The next morning police show at
the house and take Tom in for questioning on his girlfriend's death and are looking for
Sean because the alleged rapist washed up on shore that morning, dead!
Kristi is dismayed at the fact that
Tom is a suspect and possible murderer and must deal with her instincts and emotions. It's
Country and Western theme night at work and all the girls are pulling a double shift.
Meanwhile, Sean has been drinking all day and decides to pick up on Sandy. Sandy is
unaware that Sean is Sage's boyfriend and takes the offer making love with Sean under the
moonlit sky on the beach. The Watcher watches.
Kristi is right back at work serving
breakfast when she sees Tom. Reluctantly she goes over to confront him and again is
submits to his sincerity and offers her support.
Later the group has positioned on
the beach sunning and splashing. Sandy is entered in a bikini contest, Sean pulls her off
stage, in essence transferring his possessive behavior from Sage to Sandy. Everything is
constantly being observed by the nearby omnipresent Watcher and the loose-cannon landlord,
Wendell.
That evening Parke and Jason are
breathing heavy when Parke spots Wendell watching the house with infrared binoculars and
calls the police. The police take Wendell downtown and suspect any worries of someone
watching them are over. Wrong, the Watcher's watching.
Kristi and Tom finally raise their
level of passion only to be foiled by a bullet from the Watcher's gun meant for Kristi but
hits Tom.
Buford gives chase to the pier
swatting the Watcher off it and picking up the revolver making it look as if he's the bad
guy. The cops know it's not Buford but a co-worker of theirs, the Lady Cop. Kristi looks
over the railing only to have the Lady Cop grab her neck choking her. The two grapple for
a couple of beats when Kristi gets free, Tom takes the gun from Buford and pumps a couple
rounds into the Lady Cop sending her off the pier a second time, but this one is to her
death.
