"THE ACCIDENTAL
DAYPLAYER"
based upon a true story
Written by
Bruce Wayne Gillies
During a rainy afternoon a Delivery
Man pulls up outside a large building, gathers his deliveries and sets off toward the
front entrance doors.
An unexpected gust of wind tosses
one of his packages crashing to the ground causing the balloons to drift up and away. He
quickly gathers up what is left and proceeds to the doors.
Once inside the atmosphere is chaotic, weird energy. He sees a large Man with a gun tucked
in his pant waist. A commotion draws his attention to a Politician talking to reporters on
an upper level.
He begins off but is stopped by an Secret Service Operative and heads back towards the
elevators when he spies an Assassin dressed in black.
Immediately his instincts turn him around just as a intense gun battle breaks out causing
the people to scatter.
The Delivery Man, caught in the cross-fire takes a running, twisting, turning jump down
some stairs, gets up and watches the action.
The Man with the gun is killed while the Assassin makes a run for it jumping into an
elevator and getting away.
The scene is quiet for a beat before a Director yells cut revealing the Delivery Man to be
an accidental dayplayer who unknowingly stepped onto a Hollywood movie set.
The Director loves the Delivery Man's work and decides to use him all week while a Propery
Master resets the Delivery Man's deliveries, balloons and all.
