These were items on their wish list.
112 Beach Bags were created and donated to Time for Life's summer camp.
These contain all the toys, sunscreen, hats and little necessities that the children will use during their camp "experience".
The children will be able to keep the bags and fillings to take home with them after camp is over.
60 Baskets were donated for Mother's Day. Each huge basket was filled with pampering items like bubble bath, perfume, scented candles, and more.
These were distributed to the mothers of children diagnosed with cancer as part of a program designed to give the mothers a "day off" from the stress of everyday life.
The mothers were treated to a "day at the spa" and received a basket to take home with them.
4 clubs have "Adopted" a family in the Time for Life program.
They will provide items and moral support for each family based on requests from each family.
At the "Festival of Trees/ Christmas Gala", sponsored by Time for Life at the Wadsworth Athenaeum in Hartford, 16 decorated trees were donated, raising $2000 for Time for Life.
Clubs collected 36 rolls and 10 bags of gift wrap and bows for our "Wrap & Rap" project.
Member clubs collected, wrapped and donated toys for the children of Time for Life -- all handed out by Santa himself!
100 Rolls of gold ribbon have been collected, some of which was used for the Mother's Day baskets and the rest will be used for "Hannah's Gift", a new program of Time for Life.
Watch for details on this exciting program coming this fall. We'll certainly continue to need your help!
