Congratulations!

So, your Big Day is coming soon, and you’re beginning to wonder how you’ll pull it off? This Basic Wedding Planning guide can help you put together your own custom wedding plan that will help assure a simple and elegant day that’s as unique as you are. While no one can guarantee a flawless and perfect wedding day, I have put together this basic wedding planning guide to help you in your planning for your Big Day.

Organization and good planning will increase your chances of having that “perfect” wedding. The Big Day If you’re like most brides, you have imagined this day all your life. From the moment you announce your engagement until you say “I DO”, there will be many, many decisions that you must make. The decisions you make today will create the memories of tomorrow. But the one memory you want to avoid is the remembrance of stressful days and strained budgets. A wedding should not be about stress and spending too much money, but about the start of your new lives together. Getting started after saying “Yes” You have said the biggest word, “Yes”, and now comes the biggest part; Planning Your Wedding. You need to make sure you have a plan in place and know all the pieces to make a wedding.

There is an awful lot to consider and you don’t want to come to the day of your wedding and remember you forgot something important! This basic guide will list the areas you’ll want to consider. Remember, that you do not need to include everything in this list. I am only giving you options. Choose the ones that fit your dream and eliminate the others. Also, keep in mind that if you are working on a restricted or tight budget, you may need to scale down some areas in order to spend more on what is important to you.

The following are pieces of a wedding to be considered and the estimated amount to budget for each item. Remember, this is your day and choose the things that are important to you. If you care more about the wedding pictures, then hire a less expensive videographer or choose not to hire one. A family member or a close friend could video the day for you. You can always eliminate an area to increase money for something more important to you. There is always the option of hiring a wedding planner to help with some or all of these pieces.

Ceremony 5% of the budget **Groom typically pays for the officiant’s fee and the Officiant’s gratuity
Wedding Attire 10% of the budget **Groom typically pays for the groom’s formal wear

I hope this guide has helped in your wedding planning. Remember, this is a
very important day and be good to yourself. Enjoy the planning, but enjoy each other more!! I
wish all your wedding day dreams become a reality.

Sincerely
