Union County Master Plan

Open Space & Recreation Element

In May 1999 Union County published a "Draft" of the Open Space & Recreation Element of the Master Plan. A copy of the complete study is available at local libraries throughout the county. The following are excerpts from this document that deal with the County parks in general and specifically Briant Park:

Note that the 10-year planning period of this study refers only to Year 1, Year 2, etc. without identifying any calendar years (refer to Briant Park Priorities). Also, as of August, 2003 the County had not yet distributed a final version of this study.

BPN will stay in touch with the Union County Parks Department staff to obtain the latest plans and publications.
