If you haven't already looked at it, check out the family of John R. Abernathy and two of his sons, TeAbernathy Genealogy, Abernethy Genealogymple and Louie.  John was known as "Catch 'em Alive Jack"; Teddy Roosevelt traveled to Oklahoma to meet him.  Temple and Louie (Bud) were made famous by traveling from Oklahoma to Washington, DC on horseback to meet the president.  This story is chronicled in the book: "The Remarkable Ride of the Abernathy Boys" by Robert B. Jackson.  It is available for sale at this location:  http://members.aol.com/leviteofa/index.html  Look under the Oklahoma Books to find it.  These are very nice people who gave me the permission to reproduce the cover of the book, as well as a couple of photos of Bud and Temple.

There is a new book about Bud and Temple.  It's written in French and can be purchased here:     Les galopins magnifiques
