Star-Telegram Named As the Battered Women's Foundation
Corporate Sponsor of the Decade

April 2003 - For the past 8 years the Star Telegram has supported the Battered Women's Foundation and helped the many who are working to stop domestic violence. While we are just one of many agencies who work to change lives. We are grateful for the Star-Telegram's constant support to change lives. We were very honored this year to receive the Star Telegram's Organization of the Year award.

Water Garden Donated to Battered Women's Foundation Facility

We are honored to have been selected by Karla Coe of "Good Morning Texas" and Murry Landscape and Watergardens of Dallas as the only non-profit organization to have a water garden donated to our facility. We will be a featured story on how to build a water garden on "Good Morning Texas". Completion date will be by mid October. We will keep you posted so you can come by and visit our facility and cool your feet in the water garden. Not only will this make the center look better but it will help the women and children of our program relax and have a refreshing time while they are at our facility.

Kevin at Illuminart of Hurst, and Jack of Tex Art Stone on Davis Blvd. They both have donated and installed a 150 foot driveway in front of our Clothing Facility. Thanks to both Kevin and Jack for all their wonderful work!
Altrusa DFW is a group of professional women dedicated to community service who help us in the following ways:

Work every day to shine events, decorate and paint the barn bathroom, stock shelves, manage teen volunteers and kids at Day to Shine Event., Did the school supply drive for 165 kids, Make homemade blankets for new moms, work in the Clothing Barn Hanging up clothes, Run errands for clients, Help clients get jobs, Christmas is for Children Program, Hand out flyers to the community about the BWF and so much more
We could not do all we are doing without them.
