Our 2008 7th Annual Back Pack drive was a huge success thanks to Altrusa DFW, Christmas is for Children, Bailey, Banks and Biddle, Central Market, Peace Lutheran Church and so many others.

Over 50 volunteers showed up to stuff 340 back packs at 8 AM, BWF then gave them to children in our program.
We also had Trisha Rae as our guest speaker.

Special thanks to Peace Lutheran Church in Hurst for hosting this event for the last 7 years. They have a wonderful church family and they really care about helping women and kids in the local community.
Thanks again to everyone and our many volunteers, who made this day a HUGE success. We love you all.

I wanted to share Josie’s story. It really moved me when I read it. During the past 6 years our Altrusa DFW Women's Club helped us to provide back packs to over 2400 BWF kids.

I was thinking today, if we had just helped Josie and her family, it would have all been worth it. But because of you, we have reached thousands more just like Josie. They are going on to have a better life.

You have changed so many families to never be afraid again. WOW! That is so wonderful.

Our goal is to have all our kids be normal and healthy. We do not want them to be embarrassed because of no school supplies, or whatever they need to succeed. You are literally making dreams come true.

We thank you for your kindness, your undying love, and your support. Together we will continue to give hope and change lives.

Vern and I are in your debt and we thank you for all you have done. God has blessed us with the best friends in the world. I know God is very proud of all of you. We are!
