Dear Friends:
It was a great day today at the BWF as we celebrated our Grand Opening of our new center. We had so many wonderful friends show up to be a part of this event.
Our guest Speaker Steve Jacob - The Star- Telegram gave a moving speech on how Domestic Violence affects the family.
We also heard from Mayor, Oscar Trevino and Assistant Police Chief, Andy Kancel of North Richland Hills. It is great to know how diligently N. Richland Hills is working to stop violence in our city.
We then dedicated our Danielle LeBlanc Memorial Park with Danielle's family. It was a moving time. Then Bobby Connors lead us in a song of Amazing Grace. There was not a dry eye in the place. Thank you Bobby!
Special thanks also goes to Northeast and Colleyville Chambers, Rev Ronnie and Shirlene Moore, John and Myrna Hershenberg, Bill and Michelle Wagoner, Mike Lewis, ALTRUSA DFW, and all those who worked so hard to make this day, such a huge success. We also thank the 100 volunteers who worked on our new Willman Center. It is a beautiful place to help others.
We were also excited to introduce everyone to our wonderful Board of Directors, Teachers and Counselors.
Vern and I both realized today that we have the best friends in the entire world. We could not do this work without God's grace, and your never ending love and support. Each of you mean the world to us. Every time we give something away, we think of the donor. You see, we get all the hugs, but they really belong to you.
Every morning I wake up and say "God, let me bless someone today". And we do that every single day, at the BWF.
You are ALL such a blessing to us. You make our jobs easy and so rewarding. Thank you for allowing us to show love, and kindness, to many families who have lost all hope.
We love you! Thank you for being our friends.
Sincerely,
Vern and Brenda Jackson
