Dear BWF Friends and Partners:
While the emotion is still fresh in my heart and mind, I just wanted to take a moment to share the details of BWF amazing Christmas event that was held Saturday at Wellspring Church in North Richland Hills on December 13, 2008.
Of course traffic was snarled along Smithfield Road and do you know why??? Because Santa's helicopter and his two support helicopters were landing in a field across from the church....so the roads were temporarily closed off!!! But honestly... what better excuse can you get for a traffic jam than Santa's helicopter!!! And was there only ONE helicopter??? Santa USA does everything BIG....so there were THREE helicopters!!! LOL....Santa really likes to make his presence felt...of course everyone was delighted, especially the children.
We publicly recognized Christmas is for Children, Wellspring Church, Altrusa DFW and all the others for their help in supporting this Christmas Event for 2008. Over 608 children and 200 moms received gifts this year because of the wonderful support from the local community.
I
am telling you, we could have sold tickets to that program!!! First off, Vicki Truitt gave an inspirational little talk and then she sang O Holy Night....a capella!!!! She was so amazing! Sings like an angel...then she led the whole group in Silent Night and, glory of glories, she sings in my key!!!! So I could actually sing along!! .
Bobby Connors was the featured musician, and backed by his group of talented singers, performed a couple of gospel songs that had everyone literally dancing in the aisles.
Then Tabernacle of Praise dancers and Pastor Ronnie gave such a moving speech that NO ONE walked out of that room without the love of Jesus in their soul and the spirit of Christmas in their heart...
The event was a huge success! We at the BWF are proud to announce that we had another amazing year assisting many families who are victims of domestic violence, because of YOUR love.
Our client's testimonials and their genuine love for the BWF definitely reflects the true meaning of Christmas. We are honored to call your friends, you are all angels to us.
Thank you so much for helping us change lives.
