Nest in riparian areas on the Eastern Colorado Plains.

Quite a few nest along the South Platte River between
Kingfisher Bridge and Waterton Canyon Bridge.
- Waterton Canyon County
Many can be observed along the South Platte River
as one hikes a mile up the canyon.
