Western Screech-Owls nest throughout southwestern half of Colorado.
(Draw diagonal line through state from NW corner to SE corner).
- Cottonwood Canyon; Baca County
Listen for owls near camping area after dark.
- Lake Henry; Crowley County
Check woods at Northeast corner of the reservoir.
It is legal to walk through gate at Eastern side
and continue to the northeast woods.
- Confluence Park; Delta, CO; Delta County
Check old cottonwoods along the river in the park.
