A little luck in the right habitat will find a Prairie Falcon.
Latest areas with sightings:
- DIA Owl Loop; Adams County
One or two PRFA are observed during a drive along the owl loop.
(Especially search along 128th avenue & also Trussville Avenue).
- South Platte River at Colorado Blvd & 88th Avenue; Adams County
A PRFA has been observed on many occasions hunting along
the South Platte River between 88th Avenue and 1.0 miles South.
(Early mornings and late afternoons are best (and non-weekends).
- Pawnee National Grasslands; Weld County
Driving the Self-guiding Auto Tour of the Grasslands starting from
Crow Valley Campground is productive. FREE maps at campground.
