Chukar
Chukar can be found on the Western Slope.
- North of Cameo on road to the Bookcliffs; Mesa County
Especially Search the field to the East of the first iron pipe gate.
Chukar wander the hills either side of the road past second iron gate.
- Another good location is Escalante Wildlife Area; Mesa County
Check the cultivated field down the hill about 1.0 miles from
Highway 50. Early mornings & late afternoons are best.
