Boreal Owls nest in the higher elevations.
- Colorado State Forest Area; Jackson/Larimer Counties
1. Check trees North of Highway 14, north of the Joe Wright
Reservoir Parking Area (near mile marker 68).
2. Along Ruby Jewel Road; 0.5 miles East of Michigan Creek Road.
3. West of the Parking Area at Cameron Pass Summit.
- Grand Mesa; Mesa County
Check Trees 0.4 miles East from the main road at
the Visitor's Center on the Grand Mesa.
