BBCU nest in a few isolated locations in Colorado.
(They do not nest every year, nor every location).

- Tamarack Ranch Wildlife Area; Logan County
BBCU have a nesting record for Tamarack Ranch WLA.
Check tall cottonwoods along the South Platte River.
- Hale Ponds below Bonny Reservoir; Yuma County
There is one nesting record for the South Republican Wildlife Area.
Another year, a pair attempted to nest in the same area. Both pairs
should be looked for along CR 4 (0.3 miles East of CR LL.5)
Also check tall cottonwoods from here to Kansas Border!
- Overland Park in Sterling; Logan County
Check tall cottonwood trees along the South Platte River.
(Black-billed Cuckoos have attempted to nest here in the past).
