Barn Owl
Barn Owls are scattered throughout the Eastern Plains.
- Two Buttes Reservoir; Baca County
Owls can be heard after dark. Check rocks closest to road
below the dam. Also Check rocky cliffs on South side
of the small creek below the dam.
- Eastern Colorado Plains
Many deserted barns on the Eastern plains
and south of Highway 50 contain Barn Owls.
