My Mother, Lightie Bethel Morgan Douglas was born September 13, 1888. Died June 16, 1971 of a Stroke. She was born at Beech Grove Tenn, Coffee County. {buried in Hazel Green Cemetery in Bell Buckle}

William Benton Douglas was Born January 26, 1877 at Beech Groove Tenn, Coffee County. Died Dec 1927 from Cancer. {Buried next to the Douglas Cemetery in Gossburg, in Coffee County} {Since he died before his father Henry Brighten, Bryan, Bryant, we may be able to get a death certificate for the HB Douglas, and HB Douglas's death certificate should tell the name of his father??? what do you think?}
1. Mattie Pearl Douglas Manning was born May 30, 1908. Mattie Died December 29, 1988 of a heart attack.
2. Bernice May Douglas Armstrong Born April 1, 1910. {Died 1996, she was
buried by Gowen Smith Funeral Home, if you want the exact date, and where she was buried... I went to the funeral home, and took my father. Pete (Paul) was a wonderful childhood friend of my fathers, Thomas Crockett Smotherman}
3. John Hall Douglas born December 30, 1912 Died Aug 8, 1979 of Bleeding
ulcer. {He was married to Clara Mae Stephens McCarty. Clara Mae was a
daughter of Noah Stephens, and Martha Allen Stephens. John Hall Douglas is
buried in the Hazel Green Cemetery in Bell Buckle. Clare Mae is buried
between John and her first husband "Leeland T. McCarty that died on July 8,
1964. I have more information if you want it} {John and his first wife name
unknown at this time, were divorced} {**See note at the end of the page)
4. James Mack Douglas Born Feb 17, 1914 died Nov 1, 1992 of cancer of the
prostrate.
5. Addie Pauline Douglas Stovall. Born Feb 16, 1916 {Died 1995.}
6. Mary Lou Douglas Clark Born May 10, 1918. (Mr Ray's mother)
7. William Cliff Douglas Born January 10, 1920
8. Bertha Eiven (?) Douglas Born January 10, 1920
9. Novie Allene Douglas Thomas Born January 5, 1926.

**** This is just one of the ways I tie into this Douglas family. Clara Mae
was the daughter of Henry Stephens and Sara Susan Adell Lovvorn Stephens.
Henry is a brother of my Great Grandmother Nancy Ann Molita Stephens. She
married a son of Lillie Frances Stephens McCarty.. Who was also a sister to my Great Grandmother. Therefore Clara Mae, and Leeland were first cousins)
