| LT wing in jig and ready to begin drilling the skins. Alignment was easy to do with the factory alignment holes in the spars. Just string a plub-bob, adjust and clamp. | |||||||||||||||
| Right wing spars and ribs aligned in jig. Tank "Z" brackets installed. | |||||||||||||||

| Right wing skins drilled. Takes lots of 3/32" clecos to do this. | |||||||||||||||
| Spar tie-down fixture. Aileron bellcrank assy shares the same AN3 attachment bolts. Does this look substantial enough to serve as a wing jack point? I don't believe it is and I don't jack my airplane off the ground using it. I purchased a jack designed by Greg Hale especially for use on the RV8. It lifts the airplane at the gear leg/fuselage attachment point which is designed to support the weight of the aircraft. It works great! Aileron bellcrank and tiedown fixture are one component and fit front/back of main spar |

| Aileron Bellcrank with pushrods installed Blue fitting is for pitot tube. <Finished wings on rolling dolly made moving them around a snap. I took them to the hangar at 2R4 (Milton FL) as soon as it became available. | |||||||||||||||

| Tanks filler neck and vent line. Fuel pickup and vent line visible here. The opening is for the Stewart Warner fuel sender. Prosealing fuel tanks is a nasty, messy job! Enough said. | |||||||||||||||

<Ailerons and flaps construction was very similar. Fabricating the flap pushrod brackets took a bit of time. | ||||||||||||||
