01/30/2006 Decided to have Becki cover the seats with sheep skins. They turned out very nice and are warm and cozy.
After almost 3 years of flying the RV8, we decided to give the interior a more finished look and feel. We searched for fabric and carpet with the intent to do it ourselves. When my wife found out that Becki Ordorff did interiors for RV8's...well that was that. We called Becki and 1 month later we received our kit. Becki did the seats for us when the plane was first built and she had the fabric info on file. It took us 2 days to install in the plane. The instructions and video were pretty detailed and helpful. The only other item we needed was the 3M Super 77 spray adhesive. We bought 2 cans and used 1 inside the plane and 1 outside. Probably used 1.5 cans as we had a bit of spray left in both when we were done. Hopefully, the sidewalls will warm the plane up a bit at altitude in the winter as it gets a bit drafty and cool at 12K. The carpet has definitely reduced the noise.
