On August 12, 2005 Buddy Oakes and Cathy Hudson were married at New Hope Community Church in Brentwood, Tennessee. Our marriage is truly one that was orchestrated by God, Himself and is part of an ongoing story of how God has blessed our ministry.

A Prayer for Those at a Distance

Rita Holland 1936-2005
Rita went to be with Jesus and passed through the gates of Heaven Sunday morning May 8, 2005 at 8:21 AM. Her immune system completely failed her and she had been in a coma since early Saturday. We were with her when she left this world and it was very peaceful for her. Her heart simply slowed and stopped. That was the end of the pain and suffering that she had experienced over the last couple of months. She now is free from the body that failed her and is thrilled to be in the presence of our Lord, Jesus Christ. I would like to thank everyone for all of their prayers because she truly received the healing that she so desperately needed. Again, I ask for prayer for the family and friends as we are left in this world to deal with life without Rita. She was truly a shining light and role model for everyone she encountered. Everyone was drawn to her not only for her magnetic personality but because people saw what they so desperately needed in their lives... a model of what Jesus looks like in the 21st century. She will be missed but she planted enough seeds among those who are left behind that the effects of her ministry will be felt for generations. If she could have a final bit of advice it would be to accept everyone where they are in life, help and encourage others at all times, and show the love of Jesus to everyone you meet.

We ask for your prayers that our ministry will continue to be blessed by God and will move forward in it's mission in the same spirit that Rita provided as the spiritual leader and the glue that held things together. We have faith that God will lead and direct our future and use us in ways that we never imagined. We continue to praise Him and look to Him for direction because we know that His plan is always perfect.
