The fictitious railroad in this scenario is the Blue Creek Railroad, which is a short line with few engines and occasional leased power from neighboring railroads.  Other than Blue Creek, the place names come from some of my favorite comedians.  Operations of this shortline are based in Meyer yard in the fictitious town of Rockton, and branches out in two opposite directions, East and West.
 
 
The locals are divided into "East" and "West".  Both locals originate from and return to Meyer yard, represented by the staging tracks.  Both locals basically run up each branchline and back, swapping out cars.
