While the Blue Creek layout remains my primary interest, both my brother and father have HO layouts which I am involved in, so I will document some of those items here.
My brother has put together an HO switching layout along two walls of his basement, which he calls the
Turtle Creek RailRoad. He stayed with standard, reliable Atlas code 100 track, and we installed a Digitrax Zephyr DCC system (with radio throttles for convenience). At the time of this writing, the Blue Creek RR is still stored out of my reach, so it's nice to be able to put my efforts toward somebody's layout. And, this gives me a chance to work on DCC and sound equipped engines.
